DESIGN YOUR PERFECT SET

Along with our bespoke knives, every custom steak knife set is designed by Laurie. From the shape of the blade, the size of the handle, the materials used and the box’s engraving and finishings – every single element can be tweaked and customised to make your set utterly unique and perfectly personal.

Designed by you, crafted by us.

No detail is too small, and no scope too broad. We will design and make your knives entirely in-house, and can either use our signature Richlite case, with everything held in place with magnets, or work with local box-makers and saddlers to create custom wraps or ornate boxes.

Steel

Our steak knives are made to the same exacting requirements as our chef’s knives, with stupendously sharp edges that don’t require serration.

Detail

For every set, be it a pair or a dozen, our custom designs consider every aspect to ensure that your chosen materials shine.

Materials

Our favoured woods can be seen on our materials page, but we have secret stashes of weird and wonderful woods and other materials from around the world, and if we don’t have it – we can almost certainly find it for you.

Boxes

We are lucky enough to know the amazing Paul Swan, Ramsbury’s finest box-maker, and can call upon his skills to create meticulously crafted wood cases to complement your design.
