DB26 Bread Knife (W&S)

Slice us this day our daily bread

While we maintain that any carving knife (kept in good condition of course!) will slice through bread without a problem, there are times when serrations play a role. We’ve chosen 4mm serrations for our bread knife as this allows everything from crusty sourdough to soft white to be cut up without making a hideous mess – and it is also perfect for dealing with a large Beef Wellington.

To accompany the blade choose from a curated range of woods that not only look the business, but are selected for their durability. We’ve some glorious Yew from a Hampshire graveyard, British Oak (in both the regular and brown varieties), some lovely Tamboti showing off the heartwood and the sapwood together, some gnarly and fascinating Wild Mango, the ever-playful Wild Olive and last – but certainly not least – possibly our favourite wood of all time, the glorious Mozambican Mopane.
