Deep Classic STRATUS

The OG Classic is – and pretty much has always been – our best-selling Custom knife. However it’s definitely on the slightly smaller side of medium, and so this knife was originally created as a bespoke piece for a customer who wanted all the qualities of the Classic (size, weight, length, balance) but just with a bit more depth and tad more substance.

For this edition we’ve embiggened the handle slightly, but otherwise left it alone. It’s one of the knives that – once picked up – the hand keeps straying back to. The nice, firm stop at the end of the rock definitely helps, but sometimes a knife just hits the spot, for reasons best known to people cleverer than us…

Made from scratch in our Wiltshire workshop, the blade is 14c28n and small batch-hardened to the optimal 60HRC. Hand-thinned, the cutting knife is substantially less than 1mm thick behind the cutting edge, creating an effortless experience that’s akin to using a scalpel on air.

Each of our STRATUS handles are subtly unique, and are presented here in our favourite (and distinctive) contoured variants. Created over months of collecting our excess polymer resin in to custom-made troughs, they’re comfortable, striking and durable.
