Using exactly the same steel and hardening process as for our chef’s knives, this hand-sharpened beauty will clearly slice through everything with ease, whether that’s getting stuck in to a spatchcocked poussin, a large board of super-hard cheeses or the finest côte de beouf.

The elegantly tapered handle fits snugly in the hand and the whole knife feelings astoundingly solid without even a hint of clunkiness.

For the Woods of Savernake handles we select a range of the choicest timber depending on the number of knives, but always ensuring we get a good range. If you’d like to go light (or dark) or even stick with British woods then just let us know at checkout.

The Harlequin handles see us using the fantastically tactile Staron, hand-shaped and buffed and paired with a contrasting G10 liner. If you want colour and vim in your life, they’re the ones to go for and – dare we say it – might even survive a trip or two in the dishwasher. For larger sets we’ll give a good span of graduated colours, but if you’d like to stick with one colour (or a couple of colours) then, again, just let us know at checkout.
