Bringing together the Horl 2 Standard System, added Angle Support and Premium Pack along with some Savernake essentials.

For the standard system, the grit on the diamond wheel is just right to get that new edge on, and the ceramic wheel will help remove your burr and get you ready for chopping. The system holds your knife at the optimal 15º with the magnetic block, allowing you to concentrate on getting a nice, consistent edge.

While the basic system will just about do the trick, we can’t recommend the Premium Pack highly enough as it makes a significant difference to both the final edge and the amount of time and effort it takes to achieve it, and using a second angle support  will allow the blade to be held more securely along its entire length, allowing for a longer and more satisfactory grind and far greater angle consistency.

But that’s not all! We’re also including a Savernake Honing Steel (with a protective suede sheath) in beautiful English Walnut at 50%, off and also including some bits and bobs that we use ourselves in the workshop – a sanding belt eraser for keeping your discs in immaculate condition, a red marker to help you check you’ve established your edge properly, and then a tube of venerable Autosol – one of the best (inadvertent) stropping compounds out there.
